Thieves broke into a locked house in Bhatkal; failed to steal

Bhatkal: An attempt to theft was reported in a house located at Siddiqi street in the late night of Monday. The incident came to light in the next day morning.

Sources say, thieves entered into the house by making their way from the roof of the house. They broke out the wardrobes present in the house using certain weapons and was seen things completely thrown all over the room. But fortunately when no valuables were found, they had to escape with empty hands. 

The house belonged to Muhammad Hussain Khansaheb. It is said that, members of house were out to their maternal house in the night. When they returned back in the morning, they were shocked to see the wardrobes open with the things in it spread all over the room and clothes fallen on the floor. Later, it was understood that the looters entered into house by making their way from the roof. Thieves were in search​ of valuables and gold ornaments. Unluckily, when nothing valuables were found, they had to escape empty handed and left the wardrobes open.

As the information was received, Bhatkal town​ police rushed to the spot and conducted necessary investigations. Since, nothing was looted, the members of house denied from filing a case.
