Theft attempt fails at a house in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: A theft attempt took place at a house located in Usman Nagar in the town in the early hours of Thursday. 

It is said that the thieves broke open the main door of the house and searched for valuables in the wardrobes. Their attempt got foiled after they found no valuables, and had to return empty-handed.

It is informed that the residents of the house, Mushtak Ahmed Kodalmakki and his wife have been to a religious journey to Umrah for Saudi Arabia. Following the opportunity, thieves tried to burgle the house. 

It is also informed that observing the increase of thefts in the town, the couple had already stored their ornaments at their relative's place in view of safety.

Thieves entered into the house through the main door and broke opened three wardrobes in the house in search of valuables. However, nothing is missing except a cell phone kept in one of the wardrobes.

A case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station.
