Bhatkal: Police Sub-Inspector Bharat Kumar (Law & Order) has been transferred from Bhatkal Town Police Station to Rural Police Station and has been replaced by new PSI Suma B, who hails from Chikmagalur.

PSI Suma took charge of her post on Friday. She had earlier been posted as PSI in Hebri in Udupi district for 9 months. After taking charge as Bhatkal town PSI, Suma said that after gathering necessary information about the city, she would perform her duties in a better way with the cooperation of the people.
