Mangaluru: Several students wrote the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) on Sunday, attempting to secure admissions to undergraduate medical and dental programmes in Dakshina Kannada.
The students expressed happiness as the National Test Agency (NTA) had increased the exam time by an additional 20 minutes.
Earlier, exams were held for three hours. This was increased to 3 hours 20 minutes and it was conducted from 2 pm to 5.20 pm.
Students said that the allotment of additional time has reduced their pressure. Further, there are also not many restrictions this time, unlike the previous years.
Students from far away places had arrived at various examination centres in Mangaluru in the morning itself.
The NEET-UG centres in Dakshina Kannada received candidates from neighbouring districts and Kerala as well.
