Udupi: Former Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily advised Congress leaders to be ready and work hard at the booth level to strengthen the party.
Moily inaugurated the Chintan Shibir here.
He stressed the importance of strengthening the party to beat the formidable BJP in the upcoming elections.
"Each booth should have at least 15 to 25 foot soldiers enrolled as members, and workshops can be held to boost the morale of party workers," he said.
Moily said that Congress leaders and members had failed to highlight accomplishments of the Congress governments to the people.
Moily said it was important to discuss the reality before the party rather than sloganeering, which would not help in strengthening.
