Mangaluru: Commissioner of Police N Shashi Kumar said that those arrested in connection with the murder of Mohammed Fazil had allegedly used two more vehicles. Steps are being taken to seize the vehicles. 

“All the seven arrested are in police custody and the investigation is in progress. No special treatment has been provided to them in the Surathkal station. I visited Surathkal station and have spoken to officials there,” he told the media. 

‘Case taken seriously’

“I have been noticing a few statements on it by a few prominent persons. I do not know on what ground they have issued such statements. A majority of the members in Fazil’s family have mine and senior police officers’ contacts. Any suspicion can be brought to our notice. The department has considered Fazil’s murder case seriously,” he added.
