Kalaburagi: Parts of Hyderabad Karnataka and parts of Mumbai Karnataka continued to reel under severe heat wave with the mercury breaching the 42 degrees Celsius mark in Ballari as per the summary of observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Sources in the department told the reporters here, that the State’s maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ballari on Tuesday. The temperature recorded in Ballari was 2 degrees Celsius more than the average temperature recorded during the same period in the previous years.
Kalaburagi and Raichur recorded a maximum temperature of 41.9 degrees Celsius and 41.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. Vijayapura and Koppal recorded an identical maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Gadag also continued to be under a heat wave spell with a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees Celsius.
