Mandya: A minor boy pushed a Class 7 girl from the third floor of a school building in a village here on March 13, for turning down his proposal.

The boy, a Class 9 student, was pestering the girl, who was from the same school, to accept his romantic proposal. Even on the fateful day, he pestered her and in a fit of rage, pushed her off the building, when she turned down the proposal again, police said.

The girl is being treated for severe head injuries at a private hospital in Mysuru. Mandya rural police have registered a case.
