Mangaluru:  The second phase of Covid-19 vaccination drive began in the district on Monday and Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra was the first person to be vaccinated.

On this occasion, City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, IAS officer Mona Rawat, DCPs Hariram Shanker, Vinay Gaonkar and inspector Gopal Krishna Bhat were also vaccinated.

It has been targeted to vaccinate 6051 frontline warriors at 41 places in the district today, according to Health Department officials.
