Mangaluru: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has decided to field its candidates in all constituencies of Zilla and Taluk panchayats in upcoming election.

A decision in this regard was during the meeting of party's district committee, chaired by district president Athaulla Jokatte. The meeting decided to strengthen the party at grass roots level and booth level.

It was also resolved to increase the membership of the party. The SDPI-supported candidates have won many seats in recently concluded gram panchayat elections. This has proved that people have faith in the Party, Jokatte said.
