Karwar: In a road accident that happened on Amadalli NH-66 in the taluk on Monday, a scooter rider was killed after he succumbed to the injuries. 

The deceased is identified as Gangadhar Basavaraj Gurava (54), a resident of Aversa in Ankola.

Sources said that the mishap happened when his bike skidded after he lost the control over the two-wheeler. Soon after the accident, locals who observed it, boarded the victim to district hospital ummedy. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the injuries on the way.

A case has been registered in Karwar rural police station.
