Udupi: Refuting the BJP's claim that Karnataka Chief Minister's Political Secretary N R Santosh attempted to commit suicide due to personnel issues, KPCC Chief D K Shivakumar said that an indepth probe into the matter will reveal the truth.

Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, he said that Santhosh’s wife has already spoken about political pressure and about Santosh being immensely worried. It is not just someone who has tried to end life. This is a serious issue, which calls for a probe Santhosh is not under the burden of any loan. Many are suspecting that he attempted suicide due to political pressure. This needs to be probed because the truth can be exposed only after a detailed probe, he added.

He said that he is not in possession of any audio or video recording of the incident. "I do not have any evidence. I only revealed what was told to me by my sources", he clarified.
