Ankola: In a gruesome bike accident, both rider and a pillion killed on the spot when the bike they were plying unfortunately skidded on the road on Wednesday near here at Hattigeri National Highway 66 in Ankola taluk.

The deceased bike rider has been identified as Ankush (21), while pillion rider as Muruli (22), both said to be the residents of Aversa in Ankola.

The mishap occurred around 10am in the morning. It is said that the road had a sharp curving near the spot where the incident took place which made their bike attempt to skid.

A case has been registered in Ankola police station limits.
