Karwar: Rain took a snap break on Monday granting some relief to people, except Karwar and Siddapur which received rain for a while on Monday morning, other places in the district witnessed cloudy weather.

The district received total rainfall of 335.1 mm with Karwar receiving maximum rain of 106 mm in the 24-hours period from Sunday 8:30 am to Monday 8:30 am. Normally, the district receives an average rainfall of 987.6 mm in July and till now, it has received 561.3mm.

Ankola received 54 mm rain, Kumta 40.5 mm, Honnavar 20.3 mm, Bhatkal 37.4 mm, Sirsi 32 mm, Siddapur 16.8mm, Yellapur 3.4 mm, Mundgod 6.8 mm, Haliyal 5.9mm and Joida 11.2 mm.
