Karwar/Bhatkal: Heavy rains, which have been lashing the Uttara Kannada district for the past four days, receded on Wednesday. There was only drizzle in Karwar in the morning.

In the last 24 hours, the district recorded a rainfall of 55.4 mm. While the average rainfall for the district during June is 698.2mm, it had rained an average of 270.6 mm till now.
