Rabita Society honours toppers with Educational Excellence Award in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: The Rabita Society organized its annual 'Rabita Educational Excellence Award' ceremony to felicitate the meritorious students who had topped various fields in the academic years of 2020, 2021and 2022. The grand event was held at taluka stadium (YMSA ground) in Nawayath colony, Bhatkal.

Chief guest of the program, Maulana Salman Bijnuri, Vice President of Jamiat Ulama Hind, addressing the gathering, was thankful to the Islamic scholars and dignitaries of the town for inviting him to the Bhatkal, and lauded the town's beauty and made it as an ideal town of India. He then congratulated all the students and their parents who were honoured with awards. He showered the importance of education among the community students and also elaborated the history where education has been given the highest priority in Islam. 

Another Chief Guest of the program, Dr P A Inamdar, Founder and Vice Chancellor of Dr P A Inamdar University Pune, addressing the gathering applaused Rabita Society for their initiative of awarding the excelling students of the region. He spoke on the importance of teaching profession using the modern technology. He lauded the efforts of Educational institutions of Bhatkal, and assured every possible support from his university in order to boost education system in Bhatkal. 

Further speaking, International Motivational Speaker, Mr. Munawar Zama, in his brief speech, said, we have forgotten why almighty Allah has created us. "Almighty has blessed humans with powerful brains, and it is up to the humans how we utilize it. We get wealth as much it is written in our fate and not with hard work, but we are eligible of achieving knowledge as much as we strive to obtain it. Our prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has given us the formula for success i.e education. We have forgotten the blessings Allah has showered upon all of us, hence we need to turn to him and ask for forgiveness", he added.

 

The award was also distributed to the recipient of 'Best teacher award' which went to Ms. Kalpana Talageri of Anjuman Girls' High School, Basti road, Bhatkal. The award for Best school in Leadership and Management went to New Shams School, Bhatkal, while Naunihal Central School, Bhatkal took away title of Best School in Digital Learning and ICT Integration. Anjuman Girls'High School, Basti road, Bhatkal was honoured with Best School in Student's Counselling and Mentoring, and the Best School Award was clinched by Ali Public High School, Bhatkal.

On this occasion, Qazis of Bhatkal, Maulana Khaja Moinuddin Akrami Madani and Maulana Abdul Rab Nadvi also expressed their views. The program was presided by Mr. Umar Farooq Musba, President of the Rabita Society. General Secretary Atiqur Rahman Muniri introduced the guests and highlighted the purpose of the program.

The program was divided into two sessions, morning and evening.  Maulvi Tanveer Jushidi, Sufiyan SM, Dawood Musba, Musaib Patel, Sabir Ali Akbara, Fouzan Musba and Javed Kola announced the names of the toppers.

The morning session began with the recitation of the verses from holy Qur'an by Hamdan S/o Maulvi Hashmatullah Ruknuddin. Maulvi Moula Karani, Secretary of Rabita Society addressed the welcome note and also compered over the gathering. While the evening session began with the recitation of the Qur'an by Hafiz Nabig s/o Noorul Huda Barmawar. Hafiz Umair s/o Abdul Basit Hafiz sung Rabita anthem. Convenor Jailani Mohtesham presented the vote of thanks. The program was compered by Maulvi Abrar Motia.

The program concluded with Dua by the President of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal Maulana Abdul Aleem Qasmi. On the dais were the president of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem SM Parvez, President of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Bhatkal Advocate Muzammil Qazia, President of Canara Khaleej Council Muhammad Younus Qazia.
