Bangaluru: R.A Riders clinched the maiden title of NCL after beating 4Charge Smashers. R.A Riders won their first championship against 4Charge Smashers by 23 runs. Chasing 84 to win, 4Charge Smashers could only manage 60/7 with Adeeb (35) and Ameer (10) with a partnership of 29 for the first wicket. R.A Riders ended their innings at 84/7 after winning the toss.

Ikruma Motiya awarded with Man of the match as he single-handedly guided R.A Riders to a stunning triumph with the bat by scoring 38 from 24 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 sixes.

In the second inning of 4Charge Smashers, with the bowl R.A Riders’s Shamoon Shabandri and Ikruma bagged 2 wickets each by conceding just 18 runs and 9 runs respectively and collapsed the batting display of 4Charge Smashers.

Honorable Minister for Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Mr.UT Khader, one of the most Humble and Dynamic politician of Karnataka was the Chief Guest of Nawayath Cricket League 2017 along with him President of Majlise Islawa Tanzeem, Bhatkal, Mr. Muzammil Kazia and the Legendary Cricketer of Bhatkal Mr. Anas Mulla witnessed the final of NCL 2017 organized by Nawayath Club Bangalore (NCB).

Other guests who were present during the occasion are Mr. Mudassir Ikkery, Mr. Abdul Rab Kola, Mr. Rashid Kola, Mr. Saifan Shingethi, Mr. Basit Pillor and Mr. Kaushik.

Chief Guest UT Khader appreciated and congratulated the players and was quoted as saying, “I think this is very innovative idea from the Nawayath Club Bangalore and will be one of the biggest strength in the days to come. Ultimately this idea will help the community in all the ways may it be in any location”. 

Mr. Muzammil Kazia also congratulated the players and commended the Nawayath Club and said, “I hope this trend will continue and we will be having number of events by NCB and such events will really bring all the Nawayath of Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Manki, Byndoor, Gangolli, etc to one platform and unite and strengthen the bond of the community”.
