Puttur: A teenager lost his life while swimming in a private swimming pool at Darbe on Tuesday.

Deceased Kartik Rai s/o Gangadhar (I9) was a student of B.com 2nd year and was said to be one of the best cricket players.

The family of the deceased has blamed the managing authorities of the pool for the incident as similar incidents have taken place on the spot in the past and in spite of that precautionary measures were not installed on the place.

 The police have registered a case and have said that if the managing authorities of the pool were found guilty, strict action will be taken against them.
