Karwar: Additional Deputy Commissioner Nagaraj Singrer has directed the officials concerned to make necessary preparations for the smooth conduct of second PU supplementary exams to be held from June 11 to 20 in the district. 

He asked the officials to take precautionary measures for the prevention of untoward incidents and irregularities in the examination centres. 

Addressing the officials during a preparatory meeting held to organise PU supplementary exams in the City on Friday, he said, the block education officers must be present on the spot when the question paper distributing team officials transferring the documents provided by the department concerned to the treasury office. Measures have to be taken for the supply of question papers on the respective exam days at the right time. GPS should be installed to the vehicles, in which the question papers will be transported, he added.

Except for chief superintendent of exams, other staff and students are prohibited to bring their mobile phones, camera, laptop and other electronic gazettes to the exam centre, he informed.

Department Of Pre-University Education Deputy Director M G Pol said, there are a total of 11 examination centres have been set up in the district, in which, 3,217 students will write supplementary exams. Examination centres have been established in each taluk, he said.
