Sirsi: Based on a definite tip-off that a house was being used for prostitution, Market Station Police raided the house and arrested four persons. Two women were also rescued.

The arrested were identified as Savitri Bhat (56) of Marathikoppa, Ramachandra Gajanan Naik (59) of Agasebagilu, Lakshmikanth Naik (22) of Honnavar and Anand Ronimath (57) of Hubballi. Rs 2,850 cash and four mobile handsets were seized.

Police said that Savitri Bhat and Ramachandra Naik had forced two women into prostitution to earn money.
