Karwar: Preparations are on in the party for upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka, BJP district spokesperson Rajesh Naik said here on 16th March, Thursday.
The committee headed by the president of BJP Amit Shah will first consider eligible candidates, and later discussion will be held at the State and local level and decision will be taken. The candidates should have to be worked in the party for at least three years. Besides, the committee will also consider his contribution to the party, he added.
Briefing reporters, he said, till now, even the primary preparations for selection of candidates for Karwar-Ankola assembly constituencies has not been done.
As this time, workers who have been working in the party since many years will be considered for the tickets, as there are many aspirants. But the BJP has not promised anyone for giving the ticket, he further clarified.
