Police urges to keep tabs on students from other states

Karwar: Inspector general of police (western range) P Harishekaran has said that the department has information about students being  involved in drug racket in the district and so the college faculties and administration would be asked to keep tab on such students and inform the police.


He told reporters that, according to the information, students who come from other sates are involved in transporting drugs and they are spoiling local students. Principal of the college should inform to police if they find any suspicious students in their campus.


when asked about increase in crime activities in Bhatkal, he said he is touch with district police and already arrests have been made of people in connection with rape and molestation. There is a need of creating awareness among people about the increase in criminal activites.
