Mangaluru: A raid was conducted by the Bajpe police on a house which was being used illegally as a slaughterhouse. As a result of raid, 70 kg beef, a knife, plastic sheets and tarpaulin were seized on 2nd September, Saturday.
The house belonged to Rafique, a resident of Tattady in Jokatte of Kenjar village.
According to the police, the raid was performed on Saturday morning based upon reliable Intel collected by them. The police found beef and equipment used for slaughtering the animal.
The raid was conducted by Bajpe police inspector, T D Nagaraj along with other personnel from the station under instructions of Panambur assistant police commissioner, Rajendra D S.
A case has been registered at Bajpe police station and furher investigations are underway.
