Bhatkal Photographers' Association stage protest, demands social security

Bhatkal: Following a district wide-bandh by all the photographer Association, Bhatkal Photographer Association also observed bandh, closed all their studio and submitted a memorandum to Assistant Commissioner on Saturday urging to fulfil their demands as they feel that photographers have been neglected from the government. 

They demanded adequate security be granted to the photographers , the same enjoyed by citizens in the society. They urged that an opportunity should be provided to showcase their talents where the web cams are installed and government officials who work part-time as a photographer should be removed from the service. Loan scheme with the less percentage of interest by the banks and full time photographers should be encouraged and exempt from taxation as well as well-equipped houses should be provided for both photographer as well as videographers with necessary equipments and other demands were put forth in the memorandum. Bhatkal A C Chandanand Vatare accepted the memorandum. A rally was also undertaken by the Association members.

Bhatkal Photographer Association president Rajesh N. Hari Kanth, Ramesh Naik, Raghuvendra N, Dattatreya Shetty, Devender Naik, Ishwar Naik, Manju Naik, Kiran Shanbhag amongst many others were present.
