Mangaluru: A pedestrian had a narrow escape after he was hit by a KSRTC city bus that swerved into a bus bay near State Bank of India terminus here on Wednesday morning.

According to the sources, the victim was identified as Mohammed Hakeem, 25, from Bihar, who works at a hotel in Deralakatte. In CCTV camera footage Hakeem was seen walking on the road operating his mobile phone. The KSRTC bus overtook a private bus, entered the bay and hit Hakeem who was thrown on the pavement.

He suffered injuries on his head and shoulders.
