Udupi: As many as 14,034 students will appear for SSLC examinations, scheduled to be held at 51 exam centres across the district, from March 27 to April 9.
Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha said 13,028 regulars and 484 regular repeaters, 375 private and 146 private repeaters will be writing the examinations.
He said CCTV cameras will be installed at all examination centres to prevent examination-related malpractices.
Jagadeesha said all required precautionary measures were taken. He said the public before coming to any conclusion and spreading fake rumours on social media platforms should contact Public Instruction department for clarification.
The question papers will be kept safely at the lockers of Christian High School. Two vigilance teams had been formed. The tahsildar, taluk panchayat executive officer and BEO will form a team and frequently visit the exam centres. Section 144 will be imposed at the exam centres. The exam observer will be charge of the question papers, Jagadeesha added.
