Bhatkal: Orientation programme held at Shams PU college to guide students and parents

Bhatkal: Shams Pre-University College, operating under the management of the Tarbiyat Education Society, hosted an orientation programme on Sunday for first and second-year PUC students and their parents. The event aimed to familiarize them with the college’s facilities, academic system, and institutional values, while also encouraging active parental involvement in students’ academic progress.

Located on Jamia Abad Road within the Heble Gram Panchayat limits, Shams English Medium School has long been known for its academic excellence, offering classes from LKG to 10th grade under the ICSE curriculum. The school has consistently achieved 100% results in board exams. In 2023, the institution expanded its offerings by introducing a state board-affiliated PU college on the same campus. The first batch of PU students recorded excellent results, and admissions are now open for the second-year batch. As of reporting, all seats for girls have been filled, while limited seats remain for boys in the science stream.
