Kumta: In a road accident involving collision of two mini trucks here on Mirzan NH66 in Kumta, one of the vehicle's driver succumbed, while two others were injured seriously. The incident happened on Friday.

The deceased is identified as Khasim Sab, a resident of Hubballi.

Sources informed that the accident happened when fish-laden mini truck driven by Khasim was heading towards Mangaluru from Gokarna, while the other vehicle was in the opposite direction. Both had an head-on collision. Due to the impact of collision, Khasim recieved severe injuries and succumbed to it, while the other vehicle's driver Nagendra Naik and his cleaner sustained serious injuries, and is undergoing treatment at a taluka hospital.
