Muscat: The e-Registration system for those interested in performing Hajj from the sultanate for the year 1438AH will open for two weeks from April 10, said Sultan bin Said al Hinai, guidance and preaching expert in the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
He added that applications will be sorted according to eligibility terms and conditions and the results will be announced in the beginning of Shaaban. “The sultanate’s quota this season will be 14,000 pilgrims which will include 12,664 Omanis, 600 Arab and non-Arab resident expatriates. The remaining will be for Omani and military Hajj missions,” he said.
“The selected Hajj performers will choose the Hajj companies electronically as per the rates and services offered by licensed companies. They also need to take necessary vaccinations.” Oman’s quota is based on population statistics.
