Karwar: KPCC working president Dinesh Gundurao said in Sirsi during a meeting that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move of demonetization of high value currency notes is not affecting the black money holders, but it is affecting only the common people. At a meeting of the Uttara Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) held in Sirsi on Friday, he said the BJP-led Union Government is fooling the people with its experimental moves.

“The Congress has built the nation and now Modi-led BJP is dividing it,” he alleged. Dinesh said: “It is doubtful that senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa will get a ticket or not in the upcoming assembly elections. Therefore, he is concentrating on the Rayanna Brigade. At the same time, he is ‘misusing’ the freedom fighter’s name for his own benefit. Such misuse should be stopped immediately.”

District Congress Committee president Bheemanna Naik, Coastal Development Authority chairman Sharada Shetty, Fisheries Development Corporation chairman Rajendra Naik, MLAs Mankal Vaidya and Shivaram Hebbar and ZP president Jayashree Moger were present.
