Kumta: In order to boost encouragement in the field of education, the muslim topping students of Kumta were honoured by the Kumta taluka unit of North Kanara Muslim United Forum at Madrasa-e-Muhammadia hall in Kumta on 15th April, Saturday.

The program began with the recitation of versus from Holy Quran by Muhammad Safwan Sab, followed by the Naat which was sung by Altaf Hussain Dangi in a very pleasant voice.

Furthermore, the muslim students from Kumta taluk, who had topped in their SSLC and 2nd PUC in the year 2016, were honoured with cash amount along with a slogan of respect. Around 10 students were honoured, among which 8 for scoring well in SSLC and 2 for their excellent results in 2nd PUC.

Present as the chief guest, General secretary of NKMUF, Muhammad Mohsin Quazi, in his speech asked the muslim students to come forward in the field of education. He also thanked the forum's Kumta unit for taking such an initiative, which helps in encouraging the students to rise up in the field of education.

The program was presided over by forum's Kumta unit president Muhammad Akbar Mulla, while Janab Ali Damkar compered the event.

On the occasion, Kumta muslim association vice-president Abdul Shukur Shaikh, Farooqui Mohalla Jamat-Ul-Muslimeen president Janab Hussain Saheb, Senior personality Abubakar Sarang and many others were present.
