Udupi: A 19-year-old youth drowned when he accidentally slipped and fell into a well at Kabettu in Karkala on Saturday.

The police identified the deceased as Akshay Hegde. Akshay was pulling a pail of water from the well at around 8 a.m., when he accidentally slipped and fell into the well and got drowned. A case of unnatural death had been registered at the Karkala Town Police Station and investigations were on, the police said.
