Mundagod: A 34-year old person was killed on the spot and the pillion rider was seriously injured in a collision between KSRTC bus and the bike on which they were riding near Karaginakoppa in the taluk on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Vittal Kokare, a resident of Jogeshwarahalla. The pillion rider Dhulu Adolkar has been admitted to a hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

The incident took place when a bus heading from Sirsi and the bike on which Vittal and Dhulu were riding collided. 

A case has been registered in this regard at the local police station, said CPI Shivanand Chalavadi.
