Bengaluru: Belur town and surrounding areas in Hassan district experienced heavy rain, accompanied by thunder, lightning and hailstones in the early hours of Monday. Heavy winds blew away roofs of several houses.

Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed parts of Shivamogga district. Thirthahalli town, villages such as Melige, Shivarajapura, Kalmane, Kattehaklu in the taluk received rain in the evening. Hosanagar and some parts of the district witnessed cloudy weather. Bhadravathi and Shivamogga received good spell of rains.

Heavy rain coupled with hailstones lashed Narasimharajapura in Chikkamagaluru. There were reports of rain in Sringeri and parts of Kadur.

There were light showers in parts of Mangaluru. Several villages in Haveri district received moderate rains on Monday.
