Mangaluru: The body of a 28-year-old youth who had been missing for the past three days was found in a stagnant water pool in Benjanapadavu near Bantwal.
The deceased has been identified as Sagar (28), a resident of Ammunje, who was employed as a painting worker.

According to sources, on June 14, Sagar had accompanied his mother to BC Road. While returning around 5 PM, he reportedly got down from an auto near the Benzappadavu Three Roads junction and did not return home afterward. A missing person complaint had subsequently been filed at the Bantwal Rural Police Station.
After a three-day search, his body was discovered in a nearby water-filled pit on Tuesday. Bantwal police visited the spot and conducted an investigation.
