Mangaluru:  Unidentified miscreants set an automobile shop on fire, at Deralakatte on the outskirts of Mangaluru.

The incident came to light on Friday morning. The shop is owned by Suresh Rai. The Bharath Automobile shop is situated at Vidyaratna Cross in Deralakatte. Several spare parts of the vehicles in the shop gutted in a fire. The police have visited the spot. 

It may be recalled that after anti-CAA protest at Deralakatte on January 12, miscreants had set fire to a truck loaded with chairs. A few organisers of the protest had warned off staging a protest demanding the arrest of the culprits who had set fire to vehicles.

On the appeal by the police, the protest was withdrawn.
