Mega health check-up camp at Anjuman Degree College on April 19

Bhatkal: A mega free health check-up camp will be organised at Anjuman Degree College on April 19 from 9 am to 3 pm, jointly by Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce College , Bhatkal, and Father Muller Medical College and Hospital . The camp will be open to students, staff, as well as the general public, offering comprehensive health check-ups and medical consultation services.

Speaking at a press conference held at the college, Principal Yusuf Kola said the initiative aims to create awareness about health and promote a healthy society. He noted that specialist doctors from nine different departments—including general medicine, ophthalmology (eye care), ENT, gynaecology, paediatrics, and oncology—will provide their services during the camp.

On the occasion, Dr Kelvin, Public Relations Officer of Father Muller Hospital, said that all participants will be provided with a free health card worth ₹200, while the ₹150 registration fee has also been waived. He added that cardholders will be eligible for free general treatment at Father Muller Hospital in Mangaluru, along with a 50 percent concession on super-speciality OPD consultations.

During the camp, information and assistance for registration under various government health insurance schemes, including Ayushman Bharat Scheme , ABHA Card , and Yashasvini Scheme , will also be provided.

According to information shared with SahilOnline, Health Camp Coordinator Prof. Mohammed Ghanim said that a team of around 45 specialist doctors from Father Muller Hospital, Mangaluru, will take part in the camp, supported by a large number of nursing and support staff. He stated that the entire college premises will be temporarily converted into a medical camp facility on April 19, enabling screening for a wide range of ailments.

He further added that patients prescribed treatment after examination will also be provided with free medicines for three days.

Anjuman General Secretary Ishaq Shabandri and College Board Secretary Fayyaz Kola, among others, were present at the press conference.
