
Bhatkal: A meeting was convened on Monday to discuss necessary measures to tackle the drinking water issues in Bhatkal Taluk for the year 2025. The meeting was chaired by Taluk In-charge Officer and Registrar of Mangalore University, Raju Mogaveer.
Officials deliberated on strategies and immediate steps to mitigate the drinking water shortage in the region and ensure uninterrupted supply during the upcoming summer months.
The meeting was attended by Bhatkal Tahsildar Nagendra Kolashetty, Executive Officer of Bhatkal Taluk Panchayat Venkatesh Nayak, Chief Officer of Bhatkal Town Municipal Council Venkatesh Nauda, and Chief Officer of Jali Pattan Panchayat N. Manjappa.
Also present were Assistant Executive Engineers from the Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (Bhatkal) and HESCOM (Bhatkal), the Assistant Director of the Agriculture Department, Senior Horticulture Officer, Assistant Director of the Animal Husbandry Department (Bhatkal), Sub-Tahsildar of Mavalli, Revenue Inspectors from various circles in the taluk, and Panchayat Development Officers.
