Mangaluru: A four-year-old child died after being crushed under a rolling cement pipe at Ashraya Colony in Lingappayakadu near Mulki on Wednesday.

The child has been identified as Yuvaraja, son of Ramu.

Eyewitness told the police that Nagaraj had stocked cement pipes in the area. A cement pipe rolled down crushing Yuvaraj, who was playing near the cement pipes.

The child was rushed to the hospital in Mukka, but did not respond to the treatment and succumbed. A case was registered at the Mulki police station, sources added.
