Mangaluru: Mangalore University is all set to showcase their strength and facilities by organising an ‘open house’ programme on July 15, 16 and 18 to highlight its various postgraduate courses.

The ‘open house’ will be conducted on the university campus at Konaje in Mangaluru taluk on July 15 and 16. As many as 24 departments offer postgraduate courses on this campus. He also added that the entire campus has been provided with the Wi-Fi facility.

Addressing mediapersons in Mangaluru on Wednesday, K Byrappa, Vice-Chancellor of the university, said the ‘open house’ would provide firsthand information to prospective students, parents and guardians about the various facilities, faculty achievements, and job prospects which will be beneficial for students aspiring for various postgraduate courses who can directly interact with the respective faculty members. This will help them understand the infrastructure, research and laboratory facilities for the courses concerned. 

The postgraduate centre of the university at Chikka Aluvara in Kodagu district offers six postgraduate courses. The university’s constituent college in Mangaluru offers four postgraduate courses and the constituent college in Madikeri in Kodagu offers three postgraduate courses. The ‘open house’ programme in these three centres will be conducted on July 18.

Apart from these constituent colleges, 50 colleges affiliated to the university offer postgraduate courses in different subjects.
