Mangaluru: A painful tragedy befell upon a family living in a multi-storied residential complex at Jeppu as an 18-month-old toddler accidentally fell from the balcony of seventh floor on 3rd May, Wednesday.
The deceased kid was Mohammed Shaan, s/o Imran Hussain, a native of Adyar Kannur and he lived with his mother Shama, her father Abdul Aziz and her mother in Diamond city residential complex located at Marnamikatte, Jeppu. His father worked abroad and hence was not in town.
According to the police, the incident is said to have occurred at around 4 pm while Shama and her parents were busy inside the house. Shaan entered the balcony and climbed a to get a look at outside view and fell down due to losing balance.
As soon as Shama realized this, they rushed him to the hospital but he was declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctor.
A case has been registered at Pandeshwar police station under UDR (Unnatural Death Record) category.
