Man who posted insensitive comment on Trasi victims traced

Mangaluru: Police were finally able to trace a man named Shankar Prasad, a native of Kumble- Kasaragod who posted an insensitive comment on facebook about school children who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Trasi, Kundapur.

The horrifying incident  where eight school children were killed and at least 12 were injured after a private bus crashed into a Maruti Omni van at Kundapur on June 21, 2016.

After the tragedy in Trasi, Prasad took to Facebook and posted a insensitive comment saying, ‘Poyine Manta Porbulu Atthe, Nank Dane (All those who were dead and gone are Christians right, why do we have to worry). 

Outrage sparked from people from all walks of life; everyone wanted this person to be arrested and punished.

After a complaint was registered by Ashwin J Pereira, a resident of Moodabidri to arrest the culprit, the police have finally traced the person. As per police reports, Shanker is currently pursuing M.Tech in Bengaluru and is a rank holder in academics. Fearing that he would be arrested, he has reportedly sought bail through a lawyer from Bengaluru.
