
Mundgod: A shocking incident occurred in Jogeshwarahalli village of Mundgod taluk, Uttara Kannada district, on Thursday, where a man was attacked and injured by a bear.
The victim, identified as Siddu Emkara (40), was near a stream on the outskirts of the village when a bear suddenly attacked him. Hearing his screams for help, villagers rushed to the spot, prompting the bear to flee. However, before escaping, the bear had already inflicted serious injuries by biting his thigh and hand.
The injured man was immediately taken to a government hospital for treatment. Forest department officials arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
