Mangaluru: A motorcyclist hurt his left hand after he was hit by a machete thrown at him by two motorcycle-borne men in the early hours of Monday.

The Ullal police said Noushad, 23, a resident of Kodi in Ullal, was riding his motorcycle. on Monday

As he was crossing Rahmania Masjid around 1 a.m., he reportedly saw the pillion rider who was on another motorcycle throw a machete at him. He ducked and the machete hit his left hand causing him to lose balance and fall.

A police patrol party took him to a private hospital. The police said that Noushad had named his assaulters and the search was on to locate them.
