Kundapur:  A person was washed away in the rainwater when he was returning home from the work at Herikeri village, Halnadu, in Kundapur on Wednesday.

According to police, the deceased is Maruthi Devadiga, aged 45 years.

He was working in a tile factory in Kandlur.

A case is registered in Kundapur police station.
