Kundapur: In yet another tragic incident, Sandeep Shetty 19yrs, IIT 2nd year student has lost his life to harsh driving of others. It is said that he belonged to a very poor family. In order to pay his fees and help his household, Sandeep had taken up part time job in a hotel.

On the night of 6th December, around 12am, Sandeep after winding up his job, was traveling back home with one of his friends Subhash. On the way back home on NH 66, an unknown vehicle hit their bike and fled away from the spot. Sandeep who was riding pillion fell down from the bike, resulting in severe head injury and he breathed his last while being shifted to a nearby hospital.

It is said that Sandeep's father also worked in a hotel in Shivamogga. As soon as Sandeep's death news broke out, his college friends gathered at the hospital were his dead body was kept. The sudden death of Sandeep has deeply grieved his friends.

Traffic police have registered a hit and run case and investigation is been carried out.
