Kumta: Muslim Forum conducts 'Career Guidance' workshop for SSLC students

Kumta: Career Guidance workshop for SSLC students was organized by North Kanara Muslim United Forum (NKMUF) Kumta taluka unit here in Rotary hall on Sunday, where more than 135 students participated.

Present as the chief guest in the event, NKMUF District President, Imtiyaz Umar Shaikh, addressing the gathering, lauded efforts of forum's Kumta unit for hosting the much-needed workshop for the students. Speaking to students, he made them realize the importance of education and asked them to take a strong step in building the career.

Guest of honour, Dr Abdul Qadir Shaikh, Ex-President of Ideal Education Trust, Kumta, addressing the gathering, explained how the revolution took place in the field of technology. He also noted that India has a number of intelligent and brilliant people than any other country in the world. Lastly, he expressed his best wishes to the students for their forthcoming examination.

Mr Veerendra Shanbag, Principal of New English PU College, Bhatkal, and Mr Amjad Ali Shaikh, President of Karnataka Academy of Educational Department Trust, Brahmavar, were among the key speakers in this event.

Meanwhile, a quiz competition was also held between the students, in which 5 students from Ideal English Medium School, Kumta, 3 from Government Urdu High School, Mirzan, and 2 from KPS school, Santeguli, received prizes.

On this occasion, Forum's Kumta unit and Jamaat Ul Muslimeen Kumta felicitated Dr Naazim Khan, who recently won a gold medal for India in para table tennis events in Japan.

The event was presided by Forum's Kumta unit President Muhammad Akbar Mulla.

On this occasion, Jamaat Ul Muslimeen Kumta President Muhammad Shafi Shaikh, Forum's District General Secretary Muhammad Mohsin Quazi, Forum's Kumta unit General Secretary Ali Damkar, Ali Shah Vanalli, Muzaffar Shaikh, Ibrahim Shaikh, and many others were present.
