Kumta: Opposing the toll collection from local vehicles by the IRB officials at Holegadde toll plaza, Kumta-Honnavar MLA Dinakar Shetty has warned of massive protest and instructed IRB officials not to collect tolls from ‘KA 47’ registered vehicles.

He was speaking at a meeting called at Taluka Panchayat office which was chaired to gather information about the ongoing toll-collection stir and reports of incompletion road works. Presiding over the meet, MLA urged IRB officials to reconsider the decision on toll collection and if the demands aren't met, a massive protest shall be launched.

On this occasion, Congress leader Ravi Kumar Shetty, JDS leader Suraj Naik Soni, Advocate R G Naik, Block Congress vice-president Honappa Naik, and many others who were present in the meeting expressed their views in this regard.
