Kumta:  Two fishermen went missing and the other three swam towards the bank to safety when their boat capsized while they were fishing in the Vanalli sea of Kumta Taluk on 19th July, Tuesday.

According to the sources, the missing person have been identified as Abul Hassan Ali(40), a resident of Vanalli and Hassan (28), a resident of Tengingundi, Bhatkal. 

It was reported that the boat was capsized due to the heavy winds during the evening. The boat is said to have belonged to Mansoor Hussain Shimali who has incurred the loss of Rs. 5 lakhs, it is learnt.

The search for the missing fishermen are still on and case have been registered at Kumta police station.
