Kumta: The driver was killed on the spot, when the truck he was driving, turned turtle on Bargadde bridge in Mirzan NH66 of Kumta, that happened in the late night of 6th May, Saturday at around 11:15 pm.

The deceased driver has been identified as Murthy Raja Shetty (35), resident of Kodagu district. 

Sources say, the driver lost his control over the speed of vehicle and went on colliding the roadside electric pole. Due  to this, the truck overturned on the highway, leaving the driver succumb to his injuries on the spot. 

The truck was filled with charcoal.

In this regard, a case has been registered in Kumta police station.
